Supplements to Regenerate Knee Cartilage

Posted By Presouz (Sunny So Ca) on 05/29/2018

I was a meat cutter for 30 years. That’s a lot of wear and tear on the knees. A lot of the guys that I worked with had knee replacement, but since I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue my doctor does not want to do knee replacements plus once the bone and flesh are cut there’s no going back.

I want to try to build it back up on my own with certain exercises and supplements anybody have any ideas? And the doses I’ve been doing borax for inflammation, I’ve been doing gelatin but I don’t know if I’m doing that right. Thank you so much.

Hi Presouz,

I would suggest getting some magnesium oxide powder that can be obtained from Amazon. NOW FOODS carries it and it contains no fillers. It should be dissolved in water or orange juice and taken before meals.

Much of what we are eating contributes to our joint inflammation and pain. Magnesium and vitamin C are reported to offer some protection from the neurotoxins in our food supply. Some of the NatureMade products are safe but not everyone is able to tolerate the same ingredients.

I had bone-on-bone grinding in my neck from multiple head & neck injuries. I was referred to two neck surgeons that gave me painful exercises to do and surgery was suggested so I decided to look into nutrition. It was not an overnight fix but I was able to fix my problem and eliminate my pain.

Presouz, gelatin helps knees but take it daily. I only take a half a teaspoon a day in water and have had much relief.

Dear Presouz,

You might want to try making your own bone broth. A long stewing of bones and cartilage will extract the very nutrients necessary for your body to repair the same. Bone broth may also be helpful for your autoimmune diseases.

Also, if you could grow a comfrey plant, it is healing to the skeletal system. I use it daily in the summer for my bones and joints. I put a couple of raw leaves into a smoothie each morning. I have recently been sauteing some in coconut oil and adding some salt. This tastes amazing and I especially love it with eggs.

You can get a comfrey root to start a plant at Strictly Medicinal.

Just a couple of thoughts...

Hi there. I would try some Glucosamine Chondroitin for your knees. Also, DMSO would be great to try. It is truly a fabulous substance. I put it on my sore knees 2x a.day and now I don't even know they're there. Please spend some time reading the DMSO thread on this site and you will learn alot! Best of luck to you.
