Seeking Natural Remedies for Sudden Rise of Blood Pressure

Posted By Lagu (Nj) on 04/11/2018

Hello All,

I recently found out on two different days that my BP is 135/81 and 141/82. I don't smoke or drink and am a vegetarian. MY BMI is right for my height and weight and infact slim. I don't eat bad foods but eat carbs, milk, yoghurt, vegetables, fruits and lentils. I did not sleep properly on those days due to sudden waking up in the middle of the night and unable to go back to sleep before going to doctor office.

One month back my BP was 110/69. I don't know what contributed to this high BP. I am also on prediabetes watch. Please let me know how to control BP without medications. Can I defer BP medications for quite some time trying out natural remedies? Please let me know from someone's experience. I am very desperate now. Thank you.

Hi Lagu,

How about your thyroid? Many times thyroid can cause a rise in blood pressure and cholesterol.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your reply. My Thyroid is good and cholesterol is little high and the doctor don't require any medication as of now. But on the brim of diabetes and high blood pressure being a vegetarian it is difficult to balance food. If I cut down lot of foods, I will loose weight and in my case I don't need to loose weight. Dr is saying that lentils and grains are carbs and should limit portion. I really need help to balance with two above conditions with right herbs and food. Started taking magnesium and COQ10. Can I manage my BP with natural remedies? Should I start with medicines right away? I would appreciate inputs based on experience.

Lagu.

Lagu, I will refer you to a post I made years ago that discusses your question. Follow the thread regarding arginine and NAC.
