Season's Greetings JenB,
I do pray you are feeling much better.
Was that your systolic blood pressure, the top number that was in the 80's? That is kind of low for the top number.
According to the Mayo Clinic, dehydration can cause low blood pressure, as also can some medical conditions. Have you read this article from them?

People can be the same or different in many ways. My blood pressure always drops at night, so I like to have a normal pressure when I go to sleep. My sister said her pressure is higher when she wakes up.
Talking about going through changes, as my years increased many things changed for me. I have had very low blood pressure most of my life. At about 45 years of age, my blood pressure began to creep up with much stress. I started getting headaches so I started taking my blood pressure and found out it was over the roof, like 200 over 90. A sneaky change had come over me. Whenever I went to the doctor, my pressure was always good. So she would not give me blood pressure medicine. I learned how to keep it regulated with supplements.
Now once again my blood pressure has changed, it drops very low at times, especially during sleep. I do keep a bottle of water near me at night. If my blood pressure is 90 over 35 it is time for a bacon breakfast.
You can try to reset your blood pressure with sea salt water. However, I don't know why, but salt or baking soda and water does not raise my pressure the way it used to. What I know will raise it is, bacon, hot dogs and cold cuts, meats that I had stopped eating. I eat them a day or two and freeze the rest until my pressure drops again. What I really like about this, is that can eat bacon again, yaaay and amen.
According to amazon reviewers, licorice extract helps to raise blood pressure.
To tell you the truth I found it easier to regulate my blood pressure back up then it was to bring it down.
