How to Find Out Whether Stomach Acid is High or Low?

Posted By Island Girl (Gc, Ci) on 06/30/2024

How can we find out naturally whether our stomach acid is low or is it high? Because both of these conditions cause heartburn / acid reflux with same symptoms. I do not want to do any invasive tests. I want to know so I can eat alkaline or acidic foods accordingly.

My heartburn started after taking large doses of Vitamin D for 2 months. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s now been 2 months since I stopped taking Vitamin D, and I am still having heartburn issues.

I am not able to take any medicines, so I have to depend on natural remedies only.

The overview of heartburn on this website states mustard is alkaline. Is it true? I was under the impression that is is acidic, in which case it would help when the stomach acid is low but not high.

Stomach acidity changes during a day. Elderly tend to have low acidity. Supplements can cause all kind of reactions that have nothing to do with acidity. There is a baking soda test:

For the test, you'll drink half a glass (4 ounces) of cold water combined with a quarter teaspoon of baking soda, on an empty stomach. Then time how long it takes you to burp. If it takes longer than three to five minutes, the theory goes, you don't have enough stomach acid.

Lastly, don't take large dose of supplement all at once, spread it throughout the day.

I personally take Premier HCL, Betaine Hydrochloride with large meal, especially if I eat meat.

I take D3 supplement with A, K, and Boron during meals that contain fats.

Here is a good reading for those who take large dose of D3:

WHY BEING IN THE SUN & still having a low D3 level & STILL BEING SICK TELLS ME YOU GOT A VITAMIN A/nnEMF PROBLEM?
You know Vitamin D is yoked to Vitamin A right. I've only said it 1000 times in blogs and podcasts. So when you live in the sun and Vitamin D does not rise here is why------->
Now that the story is complete, you can see that any kind of blue light or non-native EMF basically uncouple vitamin A from melanopsin. That released retinol becomes…the best way to describe it is a nuclear weapon for all photo receptors. So you'll be interested in this. "You may not know it, B12 is a photoreceptor in humans. OK? And guess what happens when you have melanopsin and retinol damage? That's the reason why vegans have such demolished B12s and shrinks their brains and destroys their non visual photoreceptors everywhere including MELANIN.

WHY? It happens because when you put them in a blue-light environment, they can't recycle their vitamin B12 through the liver. The other thing that people don't know: if you take every single vitamin known on this planet, the only one that emits light, guess what it is? Vitamin A. When Vitamin A is liberating light inside it needs melanin to be present to absorb it. If it is not present you get toxic levels of ROS that destroy the matter in cells and destroy all signaling. And that's the reason why retinol is ALWAYS bound to every opsin in the human body. It is why and how we protect AMO physics in cells. So that means rhodopsin, neuropsin.....cholesterol....melanin.....catalase....cytochrome proteins.....infertility & transgender issues.....bad sleep.....and all the circadian genes are tied to this mechanism....

This is why people who took the jab and stayed inside are getting vitiligo, cancers, diabetes, autoimmunity, prion diseases and just about any other disease one can imagine.

Hi Island Girl, when I was about 75 yrs old I started having heartburn and at the time I would wake up in the middle of the night with pressure going up my neck and I thought it was my heart, but after several tests it wasn't my heart. I started reading everything about my condition and realize it was indigestion. I was not making enough acid to breakdown the food, so it sits in your stomach and starts fermenting . To help the stomach digest the food I found eating a couple spoons of papaya and/or pineapple before meal or after a meal. I eat small meals and more fruit(i am not a fruit eater) I also chew my food really well before swallowing.Vit D, Vit A, code liver oil and Vit E should be taken with your meal that has fat in it. I am going to be 82 soon and feel great. Hope this is helpful
