Son is getting acne on nose and cheeks

My son is going to be 11 at the end of this month. He is starting to get acne on his nose and cheeks. I have gone over the area with salicylic acid and a cotton ball. he washes his face with cetaphil gentle cleanser but both do not seem to help at all. I would prefer to use something much more natural. Any suggestions for a skin care regimen for him?

Witch hazel. Go over his acne every morning and every night with a wet cotton ball. For resistant spots, soak a cotton ball and place over affected area, and secure with a bandaid overnight. Works wonders! Other natural alternatives, use apple cider vinegar, manuka honey, or local honey

Give organic, extra-virgin coconut oil a try. Steam face with very warm (not hot) water washcloth only (no soap) to open the pores and then apply a thin layer of the coconut oil. Also, a dab of 50/50 mixture of baking soda and coconut oil (1 tblsp of each mixed together) can be used 2-3 times per week as a gentle exfoliant. Follow with a warm (not hot) water rinse and a thin layer of coconut oil. It really does wonders for the skin and won't irritate like soaps and chemicals do. Good luck!
