Finally having a name for it from the ER I went to my chiropractor. After just one visit I have tremendous relief. He did some manipulations but also gave me this exercise to help clear the enflamed lymph node. Lay flat on your back. Hold on to something sturdy with your hands and bring your knees up to your forehead. (Yeah I know, just do your best) Hold it for 5 seconds. Do three reps at a time. You cannot overdo this excercise. He called it the lymphatic pump. All exercise will help somewhat to circulate the lymphatic system but this one in particular helps to "squeeze" the infection out. Avoid medicines but not vitamins and probiotics. It is important to boost the immune system.
In addition, I just happened to have bought an electrical nerve stimulator. They sell them at a kiosque at the mall but I got mine at the chiropractor's. I now use it on both my belly and on the center of my back where the corresponding nerves are located. This also helps a lot.
There are medical issues that require regular doctors but there are plenty of medical issues which can be resolved with chiropractic care, even colds! If you've never been to a chiropractor before I highly recommend it. They solve medical problems that medical doctors only mask with medicines. My relief was immediate and I am sleeping much better. And after 3 days I am still feeling much better. My Chiropractor thinks I should be healed within 2 to 3 weeks but I think the healing is actually going faster because I am pushing the exercises.
Good luck and feel better!

Inflammation in the body is built up anger. What is happening that they are unable to stomach, what are they unable to let go of? The stomach area is our emotions area, the abdominal area pertains to relationships and personal boundaries. A very effective way to let them off load of these emotions safely, with no judgement, is to get them to write or draw a journal to express what is going on, that they are unable to or are scared to verbalize. 5 minutes every morning as soon as they wake. This is their own private thoughts not for others to view.
Try this for yourself, it works wonders.
This is their journey not yours, if you peek you may not like what you see....
