Side effects of a urinary tract infectionPosted By Bon (Pierson, Fl) on 01/10/2015
I too have been having bladder issues for several months now. It seemed to begin after we had a reverse osmosis water system installed. It is however supposed to be the best quality system available. Shortly after I started drinking this water, I noticed my urine has a sweet odor. Usually only in the early morning after sleep. In the beginning I also felt like I had a bladder infection with the usual symptoms. Pain, frequent urination... I tried multiple natural remedies and seemed to clear it up but the smell is still there. For the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing some light headedness. Usually it happens when I am still. I have suffered from tinnitis for years by the way. It has been 3 yrs since I've had blood work and I should but I have a fear of dr's and try to handle my medical issues myself if possible. I am 52 yr old female. Can you advise me please? Thank you.

So whenever you drink reverse osmosis water then it will be depleted of minerals. Furthermore, like distilled water, when you drink reverse osmosis water it will also act to pull minerals(as well as heavy metals) out of your own body by osmosis which is not good. Like I said, reverse osmosis will surely help to remove heavy metals but it also acts to remove essential minerals from your own body as well.
And there lies your problem. Your symptoms seem to point to lack of minerals -- especially a lack of magnesium or potassium.
So I would simply take magnesium citrate 250 mgs twice a day and add 1/4 tspn natural sea salt to your water and take that everyday or just take a good mineral supplement on a daily basis to cure your problems. The sea salt will also act to kill any bacteria/fungus in the bladder causing you problems. Sea salt is also well-known to be high in natural minerals.
