Sick With CFS, Lyme, EBV, Fibro - Nothing Helps

Posted By Cricket (Vermont) on 04/27/2023

I am profoundly ill.

  • Chronic Lyme
  • CFS
  • Fibro
  • Epstein Barr.

Where do I start?

(Have tried: herbs, Chinese accept/herbs, Homeopathy, (sort of Rife machine---but cheaper model), organic diet; making my own tinctures; antibiotics, urine therapy, lots of supplements.). Most helpful thing was urine therapy.

I am so exhausted everyday; awake exhausted and have been sick and w/ debilitating fatigue now 23 years.

I desperately need help. Have tried Naturopaths too. (turpentine too; and Fenbenzadole, Wormwood)

Please if giving advice: be clear and site sources if you can and clear directions of how to take things.

Cricket,

Lyme disease alone is very difficult to treat because it usually involves multiple pathogens some of which may not have been unidentified. Given the length of infection, there is likely to be biofilm involvement which adds a greater degree of difficulty of trying to fight the disease. Many of your symptoms are seen in Lyme disease, but they are also seen without Lyme disease. Either way fighting against Lyme disease is needed. You didn't say what supplements you have already tried so I will just guess and name some that are likely to have some benefit in the battle with Lyme disease.

Seven supplements that have shown some benefit and may be a good starting point are Andrographis with a minimum 10% andrographolides, Magnesium Glycinate, Berberine, Stevia rebaudiana (sugar substitute), Cat's Claw, NAC and Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE). All of these offer various benefits that should be helpful.

For example, NAC offers antibiofilm effects, is a potent antioxidant and increases glutathione levels, which are likely to be lower than in healthy individuals and could potentially reduce fatigue.

GSE has potent broad spectrum antimicrobial properties as well as biofilm disrupting effects.

Andrographis would be considered a potent antimicrobial also and helps to reduce fatigue.

Cat's Claw has shown efficacy in Lyme Disease and has biofilm disrupting activities.

Berberine has also shown activity against Lyme disease.

Magnesium has shown benefit in CFS and Fibromyalgia.

Stevia rebaudiana has shown activity against multiple forms of Borrelia burgdorferi.

I'm not a doctor so I can't give you dosing advice. Some of the above have shown significant side effects so you should get approval from your doctor before trying any of them and your doctor can also tell you if any of these seven are contraindicated with your current meds. I can say that if your doctor approves any of these seven supplements, you should start them one at a time and test for a few weeks to make sure you tolerate the supplement. Once you determine that you are tolerating the supplement with no issues, you can add the next one and repeat the process for each one.

Just a small piece of the puzzle, but you could potentially have a B1 (thiamine) deficiency. It’s not uncommon. A deficiency results in chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia symptoms. The best form to take is TTFD. You can learn more by starting with several videos posted on YouTube. Links to the research are usually in the description below the video.

Teasel root can eradicate Lyme and other spirochetes.
