Seeking Advice for Inguinal Hernia

Posted By John (Okinawa ) on 12/19/2015

I have had an inguinal hernia since June 2008 (7 1/2 years). Some how I have just lived with it & am always pushing in back into place. When I lay down to sleep I make sure it's not protruding & is nice & flat. Most of the time it doesn't cause me any trouble. Maybe I don't like the idea of having surgery & am hoping for some other way to repair it. I exercise every day, but cannot do certain exercises (like push-ups for example) as the hernia changes position & becomes painful. Too much straining. I especially like bicycle riding. I am now 66 years of age. (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan generation).
