Dear Emily,

This formula was one that was helpful to at least one person I know. It can take a couple of weeks to feel the effects, though. It is safe for nursing moms.

Some other things that may sound trite but can really help fight PPD include:

  • daily exercise
  • daily sunshine
  • a good diet (whole foods, less sugar)
  • a support system - mom's group or La Leche League, mommy and me exercise programs, etc.
  • enough rest - nap when baby naps if you can. Plan simple but wholesome meals. An avacado or a banana are a better snack than pretzels etc.
  • laugh - watch a funny tv show, hang out with a funny friend, read a humorous book. Comic relief is truly a relief.

If you are asking about remedies for you, I hope that you will be feeling much better soon.

Emily, a tablespoon of Blackstrap Molasses daily, worked for someone I know.
