I would try Sugardine. Sugardine, a mixture of iodine and sugar, has proved to be very effective at treating wounds. The American Farriers Journal Special Management Report #1 “Using Sugar To Treat Those Nasty Wounds” stated the following:

One study was done over a 5-year period in which 605 human patients were treated exclusively with sugardine. In nearly all cases, these patients (whose injuries included ulcers, cat scratches and gunshot wounds) healed more rapidly with sugardine than any alternative method of treatment.

Recipe for Sugardine

* Table Sugar

* 10% povidone-iodine (or betadine)

Instructions

- Mix one part 10% povidone-iodine to two parts white sugar.

- Add more or less sugar to make it the consistency of thick honey or peanut butter.

How to apply: Put the sugardine in a container with a tight-fitting lid. The mixture will need stirring now and then but it will never go bad.

It is my understanding that with a large open wound, you pack it with sugardine and then bandage it or use as a compress.

I came across the information about 1 year a go in a scholar website. Calendula ointment, homeopathic type. Apply a a good dime or the size of the lesion 1x per day in the mornings. Cover with a band aid and remove the band aid at night or next morning before shower or bath time. It may take 4-6 weeks to heal. Take a multi vitamin 3 or 4x per week an a daily vitamin C no more than 1000 mg per day.

Diet matters here, it should be nutrient dense.

Good luck

Hi Sandy. CBD oil helps topically, as well as using it internally. I use it for painful feet,

shingles outbreaks and a bad neck.

I often use Salon-pas on painful areas, too. Especially when I can't sleep from sciatica. It works very quickly but the relief is temporary. And calendula ointment can be helpful.

At least there are a few things to try.
