Posted By Loretta (Queens, Ny) on 10/06/2014

Hey everyone.....I really need your help guys....I had a slip and fall last winter..and since then have been in intermittent pain to the point where I can't work sometimes. Right now I am being treated by a chiropracter and paying out of pocket but still the pain comes right back if I do heavy lifting or stand on my feet the whole day...My question....is there anything else that I can do to keep the pain and discomfort at bay? Please advice...I really need some help...thank you guys...what a wonderful site...

Loretta, I'm sure you'll get good ideas here, but you can start with nice, hot baths with plenty of Epsom Salts mixed in. They say soaking for 20 minutes is what one needs to get the benefits.

I will second Mmsg's hot bath recommend and add, that to magnify the detox/healing effect, take 2 or 3 caps of "Red Clover Combination" herb. The inability to heal is a sure sign of underlying issues like toxicity, which causes immune dysfunction, which causes endocrine dysfunction, etc.

Are you taking any pharmaceutical medications that could be aggravating the situation?? Are you vegetarian?? Do you ever eat red meat?? Raw Liver tablets w/ meals are a great super food worth consideration.

Dear Loretta,

Sorry to hear about the continued back pain.

If I could add a few things to Mmsg and Tim's great suggestions...

Making sure you are well hydrated is important. A tall glass of water with a couple of teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar, twice a day, will help with hydration and the vinegar may also help some with pain.

You mention standing on your feet all day at times? If you are standing on tile or concrete, that is super hard on the back...if you have the option to stand on a rubber mat, that could help. Also, good shoes are helpful. I notice a difference when I wear good shoes. I recently found a pair of Clarks that make a long day on my feet easier.

A teaspoon of turmeric twice a day helps a lot with inflammation and pain. A little black pepper with it makes it work better.

I find peppermint essential oil to help with back pain...some use DMSO but I am not experienced with that at all.

I hope you will find something(s) that will help you a lot!

Let us know what you try and what helps.

Dear Loretta,

I too have suffered from back pain/injury that wouldn't heal for 9 years. Then I discovered this site! I read a ton about chronic inflammation, autoimmune disease, arthritis, gout, and acidity in the body or PH imbalance. I started taking Magnesium (internally & externally) along with Boron (Borax), omega 3s and coconut oil. I noticed some improvement but not the "WOW" I was hoping for, until I added Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with Baking soda. I had tried ACV before, but I hadn't put BS in it... that made all the difference. I took 2 tbsp ACV & 1/4 tspn BS, then I coated my tongue with raw honey, shot it down & chased it with a beverage. Others on the site sip it all day...Gawd, yuck, I couldn't do it. Anyway, the next day I felt improvement & continue to feel better each day. I did get some detox reaction(headache & tired) & had to take a couple days off & started back slower. It has been about 3 weeks maybe and my pain is gone! I still have a ways to go, according to DC, I still have calcification, scar tissue & even though my spine is finally moving...it clunks & grinds & sounds aweful, but no pain, just stiffness. So I read some more & have ordered Hyaluronic Acid(HA- lubricates the joints), Fulvic Acid(FA- minerals to replenish any deficiency in the body) in hopes to finally be able to heal enough to run again or at least exercise. I should also mention that I went to an ND early on & he ran some tests & determined that I had leaky gut caused from candida, so I was not fully absorbing nutrients & it was causing chronic inflammation. So I had to deal with that first... I did a cleanse, detox & took aloe vera & colostrum to heal my gut. I know this may sound overwhelming, but I am trying to cram years of experience into a paragraph. I tried many other things, but this is what finally helped. Keep trying to find what works for you, don't give up... I tried tumeric/curcumin & bosweilla & gotu kola & others but never felt much difference, maybe they didn't work due to leaky gut though. I hope you find healing.
