Dear Ella,
I use Epsom salt soaks for things like this. A basin of warm water with 1/2 cup epsom salt for 30 minutes several times a day.
Overnight I use a charcoal or clay poultice (bentonite clay or french green clay.)
I have found that avoiding sugar is important until healing is complete, except for honey.
I also give garlic or turmeric (1/4 teaspoon) mixed in honey (raw) 3-4 times a day to my children when we are dealing with infection/inflammation.
Milk kefir, internally also has helped my family a lot with healing with this type of thing.
I would say if you try these things and the problem is getting worse and not better you would want to see a health professional.
