Remedies Needed for Aerobic Vaginitis and BV

Aerobic Vaginitis/BV

I had a vaginal swab after a round of IV antibiotics and culture came back as proteus miribalis and enterococcus in moderate amounts and Candida parap. In few amounts. Initially I had labial inflammation and rectal burning. My obgyn prescribed Boric acid for 14 days and 3x per week after. I completed about 20 suppositories and got another culture. Proteus miribalis had been knocked down to few and enterococcus had no change. My good bacteria had been knocked down to few and there were other occoci that were found as well as a rare gram negative bacteria. I was prescribed Moxy, but I am allergic and so I have tried just about everything. I've done garlic suppositories, I did continue with the BA suppositories for 10 more days after last culture until my ID doc told me if I kept that up I would not be able to replenish good bacteria on my own. So I've been doing probiotic 90billion for women's health at night orally and femdophilus 5 billionx2 in the mornings. I've tried myrrh and lavender EO for the yeast. Vitamin D3 800 iu, vitamin E, Tulsi tea, monolaurin 2x per day. Tea tree EO makes me bleed so I use it very sparingly or not at all. I've tried coconut oil suppositories, tumeric, activated charcoal suppositories. Many things! I have found some relief but I am still bothered especially at night with vaginal irritation. I also am trying to keep from getting another UTI- which was caused by proteus miribalis and it did come back after IV antibiotics.

I then used garlic, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, horseradish paste, and a juniper berry extract tincture I ordered from Canada. That seemed to bring relief and my last urine culture was negative. Which was 2 weeks after the first one. But this vaginal issue is weighing heavy on me. This is a rare topic because it's not regular BV and this particular bacteria is very stubborn. It's usually found in UTIs. I want to knock this out but also don't want to deplete anymore of my good bacteria. I need a protocol that will kill enterococcus vaginally. I see that proteus does respond to BA suppositories. And I also was wondering where all these other bacteria came from! Were they there the whole time? Did something break up the biofilm? Was the first culture not as thorough?? Any help about this particular bacteria and some good ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Nikki,

Some general thoughts. When I take a natural antibiotic like Olive leaf, turmeric, etc I take every four hours, twice a day is usually not enough. Likewise I believe your D3 intake is not enough to improve your immune system to fight the infection. See amounts here https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/bacterial_vaginosis/vitamin-d/

I would suggest vitamin c, again for the immune system. Whenever my body needs to fight infection I take 1000 mg every two hours until I start to improve. The last thing I fought was msg toxicity poisoning which took a day and a half of 1000 mg every hour except sleeping. I had been bedridden for seven days. It had affected my brain because I could not even think of my go to, vitamin c, nor the taurine on my kitchen bench which would have negated the impact. Vitamin c is one of the safest to supplement because when you reach limit, you excrete the excess and toxins, with runny stools. For me, even taking as frequently as I was, I never reached this point. Some infections/attacks on the immune deplete considerably vitamin c (my experience). You may also research inserting organic yoghurt, actually if you have access, homemade kefir has even more bacteria strains, the good bacteria is highly beneficial, and you may want to temporarily avoid sugars and carbs.

Best to you.

HI Teena!

I appreciate your reasponse. I want to clarify that in order to clear the UTI, I was dosing with natural meds about 3x per day. The vaginal issue has been there the entire time, yet it did not clear with the natural meds dosage. Actually since my post, I became more irritated and sore. I am glad you pointed out vitamin C as I have began a regimen that I found online where a woman cleared Group B strep while pregnant. She did dose with vitamin C but only 2,000mg per day, an ACV vaginal wash once per day, two garlic cloves once a day, 6+ probiotics a day and occasionally one inserted vaginally. She also said she ate a load of fermented foods all day. She was clear on her next swab which was I believe 2-3 weeks after her protocol. Since GBS (group b strep) is similar, I thought I'd give it a try.

I am taking 3500 mg of vitamin C per day. I will increase this per your advise to see if I can speed things up.

I have never stopped my garlic intake because I try to keep the bladder situation under control. I take OLE as well for maintenance.

I started the ACV wash and was pretty scared about that because I read where some of the ladies had a bad experience. So far it seems to bring some relief. I also do a ACV/coconut oil bullet at night.

I am going to look at the vitamin D intake for BV as you suggested as well. I guess my thinking was that I would at least see some improvement with it since I had never supplemented with it before, but I guess not.

I am glad to hear you found a remedy for your ailment. I also was very sick in a similar way two years ago. Could not even get out of bed and the doctors could not explain it. I even lost hair but thank God that is behind me. It was awful, but this situation is definitely not a light one. As a married woman, it is quite stressful, and I am spending more time trying to figure out treatments than actually enjoying life. I will be eternally grateful when this also is behind me.

Great to hear from you Nikki

https://www.earthclinic.com/supplements/olive-leaf.html#gf

Please have a look at the dosage amounts and frequency of use that has helped others, of your preferred antibiotic, olive leaf extract. There will likely be limited improvement if you are not supplying enough.

Please ensure your vitamin d is natural D3, studies have shown synthetic D is toxic. Likewise ensure your vitamin c contains no aspartame/neurotoxin.

Fermented foods is a great addition, I mentioned kefir, get a diverse array of probiotic strains via unpasteurised miso paste, kombucha and Kim chi.

With a killing off of pathogens you will need to support your liver to cope with those extra toxins, perhaps milk thistle or dandelion extract.

If your research suggests your pathogens are protected by a biofilm, serratapeptase and nattokinase can dissolve these, exposing the pathogens.

Lysine will boost the immune system, but with your new dosage of vitamin c and D3, this should not be necessary.

Plantain leaf tea would be a good addition to drink throughout the day, it is proven to be great against UTI's and is probably growing in your yard.

Lastly is it possible you have not been able to heal this condition because your husband is also affected, he may not have any symptoms but still be reinfecting you. He may need to be treated too.

Best to you.
