A "film" on the eye after cataract surgery is most commonly due to posterior capsular opacification (PCO), also known as a "secondary cataract." This occurs when residual cells from the original cataract grow on the back of the lens capsule—the thin membrane that holds the artificial intraocular lens (IOL) in place—causing a cloudy or filmy vision.
I had this for a few years, but recently it's larger and now my doctor thinks I will need the in office laser surgery soon. It's not a big deal but I would prefer to avoid it. Has anyone had good luck with supplements? I can't use Ginko bilboa.
