I have been on flagyl with bad side effects. 5 rounds 3 with tapering on Vancomycin and 1 round of difcid. After 2 weeks being of the medicine it comes back. My dr put me on vsl3 probiotics 2 weeks ago after. A 2 week round of xifaxan. I was told by dr that it wasn't worth it to take probiotics while on vancomycin as it kills the good bacteria too. Does anyone know if this is true? I am now going on a 2 week course of vancomycin 500 mgs and he said to stay on the vsl3 . Then he wants me to have the FMT dr call him tomorrow to discuss FMT. I'M SCARED of that. Thanks for any help and support.
