Possible to Heal Cavities?

Posted By Sandy (In the sticks, Nevada) on 04/25/2008

Help! I just took my teens to the dentist and one has 4 cavities and the other 8! My dentist charges $180 per filling! Ouch! Does anyone have any experience with healing cavities? I have found a few stories on the internet, but would love to hear from earthclinic readers. The kids already brush, floss and are limited on sugar. The hygienist chewed me out (sorry for the pun) because I have not been having the kids use a fluoride toothpaste or fluoride rinses. I have read that fluoride is a poison and makes the teeth brittle. Please advise! Thank you.

Here are two very good sources of information regarding dental health:

http://nourishedmagazine.com.au (see the article entitled "Forgotten tooth decay cure : heal your cavities and prevent root canals")

Good luck.
