Ph Levels, Lump in Throat

Posted By JoAnn (Redwood City, California) on 04/28/2008

Hi! I've had GERD for many years now and have been on most every drug out there to "help me", but have always "wondered" if my medications were actually creating some of my health problems and low and behold, I found your web site and have read e-mails that actually validate what I've "suspected" for years!!! I am very enthusiastic about trying the ACV, but am rather hesitant because my body is so sensitive to everything. Questions:(1.) How do you get your PH level to find out if you have too LITTLE acid or too MUCH? (2.)Has anyone ever had a "lump feeling in your throat with a taste of blood and salt"??

I have acid reflux which presents as a lump in throat. I've had it for about 10 years. So far no prescribed medicine has worked such as proton pump inhibitors (who invented the name!) + numerous others and currently have been taking 300 mgs daily of Ranitidine but little or no improvement. Can anyone suggest a natural remedy as I think the lump is rarer for GERD sufferers?
