Partner just diagnosed with emphysema

Greetings from South Africa. My partner has just been diagnosed with emphysema. She is taking it very well but it is a great shock to me. Suddenly my outlook has changed - there is so much we wanted to do together. She is 57 and has been smoking for some time and obviously this has to change.

I dont know where to start helping to live with this. I have read some of the remedies and am considering trying them. Of course there is the physicological aspect.

Appreciate any advice.

Regards, Tim

If you just use the Cayenne pepper with Garlic, and either cut out or cut down the smoking, she will be ok. The Garlic alone helps but with the Cayenne, the breathlesness goes very fast. Palalability is the main issue with Cayenne, if its mixed with butter it goes down on a sandwich, without much of a problem. The Garlic floats the dead tissue out of the lungs, but be prepared to cough up some nasty looking mucous, in the first week. Try and get half a teaspoon down a day and then when feeling better drop it to about a third. The garlic can be crushed and left for ten minutes, before ingesting. I smoke and used it with success after I started getting breathless.
