PH questions regarding bowel prolapse and 80 pound weight loss in husand

My husband has prolapse bowels, but there is no surgery for him because of his age and all of his ailments.I tried several times telling him that coffee & the likes makes him worse but he says the doctors say no :-( even though he is in denial he refuses for me to help him. I have a question/ how can I tell what his ph is? Also I did a few web searches looking for a few suggestions & this is what I found.
