Severe Chronic Leg Pain From Sacroiliitis - Please Help

Posted By Eileen (Sumter, SC) on 08/07/2021

I started having sacroiliac, lower back pain, and pain in both legs in 2017. In 2019 after an MRI I was told I had spinal stenosis. I had surgery in July 2020 for spinal stenosis. The leg pain decreased for a while, but the sacroiliac got worse. My leg pain is chronic, especially at night or at rest. It is back and front on both let from thighs to feet. Like a knife going down them.

I have tried ACV, lemon and baking soda, MSM, along with many other natural remedies. Primary care sent me to a neurologist who gave me a patch for restless leg, which is also used for Parkinson’s. I actually don’t have restless leg. Have had it in past and I know the difference. He also said I have sacroiliitis. He has prescribed Indomethacin. I don’t think I can take I it as I get ulcers with OTC NSAIDs. I am praying someone can suggest something that works. I still take the AVC with baking soda, fish oil, B complex, and other supplements.

Eileen,

I have gotten pretty good pain relief from this over the counter topical pain reliever available at most drug stores and online:

https://www.vitacost.com/voltaren-arthritis-pain-topical-gel-1-100-g-3-52-oz?ta=voltaren+gel&t=voltaren+gel

Topical application to the painful area avoids the gut issues with oral NSAIDs.
