Need help with lowering cholesterol naturally

Posted By Nita (Perth, Western Australia) on 10/03/2012

Hello, In 2009 I had bood tests done. It was discovered that I had HC count. Chol mmol/L 7.0, HDL 1.1, LDL-C 4.0. I was 53 years old and going thru' "wise women syndrome" (menopause).

Doctor wanted me to go onto drugs... NO THANKS... I will do this myself. I left the very stressful job, started going to the gym x5 per week and upped my healthy eating. Have always eaten reasonably well.

2011 blood tests revealed Chol mmol/L 4.9, HDL-C 1.5 and LDL-C 2.5. I felt fantastic. I had lowered my cholesterol naturally.

2012 blood tests reveal Chol 6.5, HDL-C 2.4, LDL-C 3.6. Damn it.

I can't take Apple Cider Vinegar as I have very low blood pressure. I am still going to the gym, drink 2 litres of water a day, loving my work, have supportive relationship with my husband etc. I don't smoke. I eat very well but do drink alcohol... usually about 4 glasses a week. I am going to have accupunture to help, reiki and massage as I believe it is stress related.

Does anybody know whether it is also "wise women syndrome" related as well. I remember reading somewhere that it is. Can anybody suggest anything I can do to lower results? Look forward to hearing from you. Nita

Nita, I lowered my cholesterol with vitamin c. From 234 to 138 in two months. Read (on the net) -Linus Pauling and vitamin C - and check on Bill Sardi and the B6 controversy.

Nita, Organic beet juice or powder brought mine down without meds. At first I took it twice a day. Now I take it once per day. It lowered my BP too. Hope this helps.
