Princessway from Dayton, I know from experience just how you feel. I did not have the symptoms all the time, but when I did it scared me a lot. I always had a fast heart rate, but the skipping and racing began happening more and more often. One day my son, who is super fit and health conscious, admitted he had been experiencing the same thing. He was advised to cut all sources of caffine from his diet. It had worked for him, and he suggested I give it a shot. This worked almost immediately, the differance was amazing. I love chocolate everything, that was the hardest to cut but, I just switched to water decaffinated coffee and decaf green tea, I never cared for sodas, so switching to ice water with lemon was easy. After six months I tried adding back a little dark chocolate and an occassional latte or cappacino, so far so good. Princessway, your situation may be much more serious so please checkout everything with a medical professional. Cutting the caffine will not do any harm, but if you normally consume a lot of caffine, you may have some headaches from the withdrawal. Remember that some meds also contain caffine, I am not familiar with the one you mentioned, but please don't stop anything your Doctor has perscribed without his advice. I should mention I also began ten minutes a day of meditation to ease the stress and cutting out all those chocolate bars, icecream and chocolate cake took my weight down from 166 lbs. to 149 lbs. I'm sure my heart is grateful that it does not need to carry as much flab around as it use to, I sure feel so much better and I pray you will also, please let us know how you are doing.Replied by Aurora (Palo Alto, Ca) on 10/09/2012
Here is a thought; Our body is complex, has many levels of systems that interact with each other, yes, but are also somewhat independent. That's why some remedies work on some issues, but not others.... So my thought is this; Treat Bio-chemical imbalances with Bio-chemistry (herbs). Treat electrical imbalance with natural Bio-Electric balancing, or Acupuncture. Acupuncture works specifically on balancing the natural electric currents in the body. Make sure your acupuncturist has experience with Arrythmia. Make sure there isn't a parasitic disturbance disrupting your hearts rythm. Good luck! Aurora
