I struggle with insomnia too. Have you tried self-hypnosis? For me it ended up being the most useful thing I've come across. I used Steven Gurgevich's audio program but there are many out there. It requires some time though, listening to the readings twice a day. Fortunately, you can do the 2nd at bedtime so it ends up taking about 45 minutes a day. Ah! The Belly Rub Of Happiness! Castor oil - the palm of Christ - rubbed all over the belly and chest before bed. I doesn't get any better than that, for me.
