H,
Vitamin K2 is noted for being able to cross the blood brain barrier to enter the brain and it is also noted for inhibiting calcium deposits forming in soft tissues and the brain is considered a soft tissue.
Another consideration is a form of magnesium that is reported to cross the blood brain barrier called Magnesium L Threonate. Magnesium is noted for helping to break down calcium deposits in soft tissues and vitamin K2 is thought to help redirect calcium to the bones. Together they may be helpful.
Please discuss vitamin K2 and Magnesium L Threonate with your mothers doctor to be sure they will be safe for her and compatible with all medications she is taking. Her doctor may also recommend a higher dose than what appears on the label, at least for vitamin K2.
