Daughter With Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Irregular Periods

My daughter aged 30 has always found her period starts and she bleeds for 2 /3 days then stops for 1/2 days and then bleeding starts again for 2 days usually lighter flow. She often has headache prior to bleeding starting. She has an underlying M.E [ED: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis] condition for past 10 years. Whilst this is now much improved and she manages the condition mostly we always see a worsening of the M.E. symptoms premenstrually. In particular, fatigue, energy, muscle pain and low mood and she becomes very irritable and hormonal.

Can anyone offer any reasons or solutions for this stop /start please? She has always been the same so it is not just an M.E. symptom though certainly when the M.E. was at it's worst the premenstrual time was awful and often made her bed bound. Thanks.

I was reading Walter Last information about dairy and health. A link in one of his sites is a naturopath that writes about women's mentrual cycles. She talks about how some people are susceptible to histamine released from ingesting A1 milk, with casien causing an inflammatory response in them. It is also connected to an opiate called casomorphin that makes them crave more milk and sugar. Obviously I absorbed enough information to write this on the level of having scratched a scratch and sniff sticker but hope this little bit helps you in a wider search.
