I follow a healthy mediterranean diet as I'm from Italy. I'm not vegeterian but don't eat too much meat. I exercise and never eat junk food. I'm very healthy and active. I don't dye or dry blow my hair. So my hair is not chemically treated. I have always taken care of my hair in a gentle manner. I'm 5. 9 feet and 129 pounds. I've always been slim. My blood results were normal, no thyroid problems. The only thing was I have borderline iron and low ferritin levels, which have always been that way since I was a teenager. Ferritin 28 ug/L.
Both my mother's and father's side have full head of hair. Even my grandmothers, who are in their 80's, have much more hair than I have.
I read that once TE is over, hair would grow back. Mine didn't. No matter what I do, the thinning areas are not recovering. Is there a way to regrow my hair? I tried applying therapeutic oils, I use high quality shampoos, I've spent so much time and effort on this, I'm totally desperate and ready to give up hope.

Hi Erta, I just wrote to another woman who experienced hair loss on here as well. We both had hair loss as a result of hair dying. I understand yours is not for the same reason but I saw how you felt rather hopeless in your situation. I just want to tell you that it took me over 5 years to recover but it did happen. I no longer use dye at all so am salt and pepper and in my mid 50's. To me that also says we can recover even as we mature.
Some of my suggestions that helped me were hair oiling which I learned of here on EC and then did my own research. The East Indian women practice this and they say it is why they have such healthy full hair as opposed to most western women who continually strip the natural oils from their hair and scalp with harsh dyes and shampoos.
I do fresh green juices every morning and eat a very wholesome varied diet which you say you have a very good diet as well. Try looking into Weston Price protocol in terms of diet. I believe this also helped me recover.
I also only wash my hair with water which I also learned about here on EC. At first I thought that seemed strange but after understanding how shampoo strips our natural oils and causes an imbalance in our scalp/ hair, it made sense. Now I use very mild, natural, herbal shampoo without chemicals once a week. I'm not sure what you mean by "high quality shampoos" but many expensive shampoos include chemicals so check the ingredients. Also, look into Weston Price protocol in terms of diet. I believe this also helped me recover.
Anyway, don't give up hope. I know what you mean because there were times I felt the same way but, after several years my hair is quite full once more. I hope this helps. Lisa

Hi Erta, Here's a few things that may help... (read the reviews) I believe many of these reviews are legit since I have also posted to this site.. I have only used the 1 bottle of the shampoo.. (being 50, I can't confirm it's hair growth ability, but really like it as a shampoo)
