Dear Lanetta, I am assuming you mean 6-8 cups of water a day?
If so, you could be dehydrated, believe it or not.
Plain water can flush out minerals.
This happened to my son; he drinks so much water but was quite ill and I took him to the Doctor. His urine showed a high specific gravity; he was flushing out minerals.
We went to an IV bar and had a ringer solution IV, which helped. Now he drinks a lot more Gatorade (he mows in the summer and sweats a lot.)
We bought urine test strips to check his specific gravity at home. It also can show protein in the urine, which he had at the doctor’s office.
I would recommend getting urine test strips and drinking lots of Gatorade. And consider getting an IV with extra electrolytes. (Ringer Solution.)

Lanetta, maybe take a bit of Celtic or pink salt with each cup of water? Also try magnesium internally and/or externally.
