Muscle and Nerve Pain, Extremely Stiff After Waking - Please Help

Posted By Joshua (Coventry, RI) on 07/04/2023

I left weights regularly to help combat chronic pain, but still wake up unable to grip anything, I stumble due to stiffness for about an hour every morning. Lifting weights helps immensely, but I still have shooting pains up and down my arms and legs. I think it's nerves rather than muscle pain. Doctors just keep wanting to put me on anti- inflammatory drugs but aren't listening to what I'm really saying. I eat high protein, lots of fruits and vegetables, and drink about 2 gallons of water a day due to excessive sweating as well. Any suggestions?

Joshua,

Based on what you said about the stiffness lasting for roughly an hour after you get up, might suggest that you have rheumatoid arthritis (RA). You mentioned nerves because of the shooting pains, but nerve pain generally results in feelings of tingling, burning sensations, pins and needles, numbness and pain related to these and you didn't mention any of these.

Your doctor can test you for RA. If your doctor confirms RA or other form of arthritis, you can consider using borax as it is significantly helpful for multiple forms of arthritis. If he doesn't confirm some form of arthritis, it may be peripheral neuropathy (PN) which would explain the shooting pains in your arms and legs. It is possible to have both conditions. He can do a nerve conduction test to try and determine if it is PN.

Here is a link to the EC borax page which explains how to use it for arthritis of various forms :

You can purchase borax in the laundry aisle of most major grocery stores as well as Walmart and Target.

If there is PN involvement, I have written about this topic and potential remedies here :

For PN, I would also include berberine because like melatonin it can also regenerate nerves.

The combination of your weight lifting and borax will also greatly reduce your risk for osteopenia/osteoporosis in later life.
