Need Help for Knee Damage From a Fall 3 Months Ago - No Remedies Helping

Knee damage from fall 3 months ago

I believe I have either torn meniscus or bakers cyst on my knee from a fall over the summer. I am in such pain, can't straighten my leg. I am using castor oil packs, heating pad, have tried exercise that I've watched on youtube, massage, boswellia, infrared light, a vibration machine, coconut oil, frankincense oil, borax, high dose C, fish oil, etc.

What else can I try? I have a tens unit that I haven't tried yet, would that be of benefit? I put a prednisone tablet in my mouth yesterday but chickened out and spit it out. I really want to avoid the toxic chemical route.

Please advise, I am not wanting to just give in and do nothing but sit in a chair. I like being active and this has stopped me from having my normal life.

Hello Hollyhock,

Considering your presentation, you may have torn a meniscus (cartilage). Also, a patella fracture can cause these symptoms. It is not known exactly where in the knee it hurts. Both of these injuries require imaging for diagnosis and surgery to repair. If not addressed, arthritis can develop. A meniscus tear can cause intermittent locking and clicking. Whereas, a patella fracture if not addressed can cause persistent symptoms - unable to straighten the knee and chronic pain. The fracture could eventually heal however, there will be an irregular patella. Assuming you have not been able to straighten the knee for approximately 3 months, there is obviously a significant injury preventing this.

Hoping you find the answer soon!

Forgot to say that I also use stopain roll on. Yesterday I decided to leave the castor oil pack on all day and found a little relief.

Hi Hollyhock

Sorry to hear about your knee. I watched many natural videos by Barbra Oneil on utube and one of them says to grate a small potatoe and put on a small cloth and apply. Also get a bottle of D.M.S.O. and rub a few drops in between the potatoe treatment.

God Bless

Gary

I have been using dmso, I forgot to mention it. I've never heard of using potatoes, what does it do?

Hi Hollyhock,

The potatoes will reduce swelling and improve circulation. I usually use the potatoe method at bedtime..It works

God Bless

Gary
