Hi Bonnie, I am not Ted, the Borax in the laundry area in the store is the correct one. I have found it to be coarse, so I put some in a electric coffee grinder and make it real fine and use it for whatever I want to take orally, shampoo my head, take a bath with it. Now, it will make you head/hair feel very dry, so you can use conditioner or a little coconut oil after. And, coconut oil is the best all purpose body oil all over your skin.
