Is It Possible to Save My Teeth?

Posted By Andre (Cape Town, South Africa) on 05/17/2012

Hi Ted, I have receding gums and bone loss with one loose tooth and the two next to it starting to loosen. Is it possible to save my teeth? I asked my dentist and he said no point even with splinting as he would have to do a cleaning first and then the loose tooth or teeth may come out. He suggested some dentures or a full set. Is it worth getting a second opinion?

Andre from Cape Town, South Africa: Have you tried Oil Pulling? It's quick to tighten your teeth back into your gums and leaves your whole mouth very healthy. Also Cod Liver Oil (which I'm taking for receding gums) is very good for rebuilding the integrity of your teeth. Take the Cod Liver Oil in capsules and a supplement - and use coconut oil or something else for oil pulling 4-5 mornings a week.
