Inhalation of cement dust for 15 years

Posted By Dale (Calgary, Alberta) on 11/19/2011

My friend John, in Mesa Az. drove a cement truck for 15 yrs and inhaled the cement dust while being mixed.

He is 70 yrs. old & on oxygen continuously. He is not overweight nor has he ever smoked. Is there any way his lungs can be cleared? E.C. Ted & contributors are the best there is.

If you can help John, I would be most thankful.

Thank you Ted et al

Hi Dale - I'm wondering if your friend, John, might be able to use some of the remedies here on Earth Clinic for COPD (which includes having had inhaled airborne irritants).

Here's the link:

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/COPD.html

I would also check out the section on lungs:

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/lungs.html

As well as the section on emphysema:

It sounds as though your friend may have silicosis due to inhaling cement dust.

Pneumoconiosis is the general term for lung disease caused by inhalation of mineral dust. Silicosis is a fibronodular lung disease caused by inhalation of dust containing crystalline silica.

I would definitely go through the cures for anything related to lungs here at Earth Clinic and try the more promising ones.

Very light bouncing on a rebounder (feet don't have to leave the mat) should help get his lymph fluid moving - as well as eating a healthy diet with plenty of good, clean water will assist his immune system in fighting this disease.

I wish all the best for you and John. Take care, Bess

Also, steam inhalation is a very good lung detox therapy. Get to local health-club steam room and do deep steam inhalation and sweating to remove debris. May be safe to slowly increase to a deep inhalation so as to not promote a crisis if indeed the debris level is high.
