I desperately need help for chronic scalp infection

Posted By Donna (Myrtle Beach, Sc) on 12/12/2014

Last January I had irritation on my scalp, had a small scab and stupidly picked it. Thought shampoo's so switched to organic. March of this year scalp started burning, went to derm who did biopsy that I had to plead for (there is no bumps etc. on scalp just red painful inflammation) came back with prefollicolitis filled with bacteria colonies. He said everyone has bacteria on head and did not want to treat. Got another doctor to prescribe amoxicillian after 54 days developed yeast (fungal) in scalp and body as well. Currently on itraconazole for 4 months for fungal, not much change, just bad side effects and still suffering. Still burning pain, but scalp has no legions or bumps on surface, this is all under scalp so getting a derm to treat what they can't see and getting them to do tests to find out what bacteria it has been impossible. He just wants to treat the fungal.

I am unable to go outside because of the pain and heat makes it worse. They ruled out staph, and even had them do a nose swab, negative results. If I can control the inflammation and pain I can go outside again. Have become depressed and don't know what to do next. Don't know how to reach Ted and don't know what he would suggest. Hair is shedding a lot. Need relief and a life again. I used to be active. Don't know if I got from hair dresser or cat. I need help that is safe and effective. No trust in doctors anymore, seen over 17 of them. Feel like this is my last resort, I can't live with the pain for much longer-pretty much a loner now other than I have an awesome husband who is hoping we will beat this. I pray a lot for courage and to go on. So if Ted has actually cured this kind of thing I am in. please help

HI U DONNA,

Sorry I can't solve your problem, but can almost promise your scalp infection came from your beauty shop. Almost all shops use an ultra violet light to sanitize their combs, brushes , etc. As we learned with this light in our HVAC duct , it is effective for only a few years. Most think because the light is on it is still sanitizing. It is not. The light deteriorates and so does it's germ killing ability. I left my barber of 20 years because he would not install a new bulb.

I would definitely use urine therapy. If I wasn't going out, I would soak my head/scalp and hair (to keep it wet as possible for as long as possible) with fresh urine, really well, then wrap it in a towel and leave it wrapped for 2 or 3 hours. Then rinse it with tepid water, only. I would do this in the morning and again in the evening.

I would expect the pain to be gone with the first application.

If I had longish hair, I would cut it off first, leaving it a couple of inches long for wetting, to keep the scalp moist.

Sanitizing is not sterilizing. I am a beautician and I cannot say this strong enough.

I was taught to use methane blue, one usually has a bottle with all combs, brushes, etc. on top of the desk.

Look into essential oils. Some are very potent against bacteria, virus, fungi etc.

Just have patience, it won't work overnight. Download free ebook: Butterfly miracles with essential oils.

Example from the e-book:Saro
(Cinnamosma fragrans):THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES: anti-microbial, anti-infectious, antiviral, revitlizing, expectorant,
mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, antiparasitic, analgesic, immune stimulant, antispasmodic; Klebsiella pneumoniae (which is the bacteria strain which occurs in chronic pulmonary disease and rhinoscleroma), and streptococcus pneumoniae which is responsible for certain pneumonias, endocarditis, pericarditis, and some skin infections were also significantly reduced in laboratory tests when saro was introduced. Research is also showing that saro is effective in the control of candida albicans and helps to regulate the bacterial flora and fauna of the digestive tract. Saro may also prove to be effective against herpes simplex; One of the outstanding characteristics of saro is that it is both an effective agent against minor infections and also acts to prevent reoccurrence because of its immune building properties.
