Hydrofluoric Acid Injury

Posted By John Paul (Cincinnati, Ohio - United States) on 06/20/2008

Approximately 5 years ago I burned my hands (and likely my lungs) with an industrial cleaning agent containing hydrofluoric acid. Through years of research to learn the resultant complications of this injury, I am amazed to find very little published - although much about fluoride is on the main scene today. I would truly like to learn as much as I can about neurological complications and possible means to treat physical pain and psychiatric issues associated with my exposure. I'm looking for contact with anyone who has an interest in this field or whom has been exposed and suffers impairment. Great website and great idea! The world is needing to "self diagnose and self cure" all it possible can.

Hi Paul, I too have been subjected to inhalation of fluorine gases for a period of 8 mths. Du Pont says, no worries, but corporate mentality is to lie to protect itself. I am going tomorrow to get tested for fluorine poisoning as well as mercury poisoning from 9 mercury fillings I had. Truly I am pissed off at myself for not doing my research, and even more at profit motive for not giving a *#%! about our well being.

Any news you have would be great, and I will share here anything I learn.

Don
