Hormone Replacement Therapy for Menopause
Hormone Replacement Therapy for MenopausePosted By framboise (Oaxaca, Mexico ) on 03/04/2024
Does anyone know about HRT for menopause? I don’t want to take pharmaceuticals but I am being told by friends that I will be at much higher risk for osteoporosis if I don’t do it. I am 56, just starting menopause, and in great health. I’m an athlete—I play ultimate frisbee with 35 year old men, I sprint, bike, and play tennis. I don’t mind my hot flashes. Should I really be afraid of osteoporosis if I don’t do HRT?
Thanks!

It is much better to do bio-dentical hormones. No side effects and testing will show exactly what you need. There are side effects with HRT but not with biodenticals. It will help your body in many ways besides osteoporosis, but I do not know if it will prevent it. It did not prevent it with me, though I was on it for years. But with the high levels of radiation increasing(satellites, towers, cell phones) our bones are affected anyway. I was an avid swimmer and I only did minimal weight bearing exercise which is very important for bone growth and maintenance. I also take a supplement with MK 4, calcium, D and add strontium.

There is a lot worse than hot flashes in menopause. You are starting menopause. There is probably a reserve of female hormone in your body. Taking bHRT you are trying to protest your brain, bones and heart.
