Hi Peg, mom of 6 here. Pure calendula oil will calm and heal yeast / Candida. If you don't want to make your own (by warming oil with calendula flowers), you can buy it. Just pure oil infused with calendula. It is very effective and can be used head to toe.

I also used organic virgin coconut oil on my babies' scalps and it worked well. If it was more extreme how you describe with the white stickiness then I would use diatomaceous earth. Diatomaceous earth powder (food grade) is safe externally and internally. It cuts up the candida and kills it. It's also drying in nature. You could make up a thin / runny paste with just the diatomaceous earth and some filtered water. Apply gently on the scalp and let it dry. It won't hurt to leave it on for a while after it dries. Rinse and apply calendula oil, and then a thin layer of coconut oil.

Also for the armpits and other folds, I used aquaphor and/ or zinc oxide cream, which worked well.

Last, if you still needed an additional thing to try after all this, grapefruit seed extract (GSE) by Nutribiotic can be helpful to get the rash under control. You add a couple drops to an oil and then massage into skin.

If baby is nursing, mom can also take the diatomaceous earth and extra probiotics to help baby.

Hope this helps!
