1. Big key - stop most (if not all) dairy consumption, especially milk. Butter ok, occasional cheese in small amounts, but you might want to get clear for a few weeks first and get probiotics established before adding those two back to the diet. Absolutely no drinking of milk!! Buy dairy-free ice cream if you must have some. I personally wouldn't substitute soy for any of these, either.

2. Cut down on sugar as much as possible.

3. Take probiotics daily. There's one made for women. You can take it for a month or two and then take whatever is your preferred kind, if you like. Keep probiotics in the fridge for best freshness.

It doesn't hurt to also clean up the diet if it's not already good...get rid of the artificial and processed stuff as much as possible. And more leafy green veggies are always a good thing!

Please post back after a couple of weeks of doing these and let us know if you see improvement :-)

I just want to tell you that what you are experiencing is something I use to have. Down to the affect of a relationship. I actually resolved the excess discharge with analysis of my diet. I realized that minor adjustments of food consumption alleviated the excess discharge. The vagina does go thru a cleansing process and the discharge is the result of that First, I decreased fat consumption and have almost eliminated all fast food. I removed soda even diet, beef, whole milk and whole milk products, and increased my water intake. Not flavored or carbonated just plain old water. I do not drink any fruit juice at all currently instead I eat the whole fresh fruit. When I intially started this regimen I did however drink small amounts of 100% cranberry juice which has been known to cleanse the kidneys. I increased my fruit and vegetable servings to 50% of what I eat on the daily basis. I have also replaced my starch products with whole wheat instead of basic white. I also eat brown rice if I opt to eat rice at all. If I consume any diary products they are fat free or low fat. Not only do I feel much much better. I lost 17 lbs and issue is gone. I still do have a slight discharge but its natural and normal to have that. Some women just have a little more than others. Just try to wear an unscented pantyliner on the daily basis and change them frequently throughout the day. Also, invest in cotton underwear that are comfortable for you. I am not one to limit my selection of that to just white. There are more fashionable prints in 100% cotton and they are worth the investment. Good luck and feel better.....

Thank you to everyone who shared on this topic already.

I am an Ob/Gyn doc in Las Vegas and truly see this condition a lot. I find that more and more of us women are struggling to reduce the amount and find that nothing is helping completely and a combination maybe the best as all of you have shared.

Leukorrhea is common in pregnancy, and even though there is more discharge it shouldn't have a bad odor. The reason for this increase in discharge has to do with the tremendous rise in estrogen.

I have found that if I have my patients, and also myself, try to completely remove any foods from the diet that could have ANY added hormones, such as dairy products, chicken, beef, and any product with these things added that there is an immediate change in amount of vaginal discharge.

Most of our meats and dairy products are contaminated with estrogens and growth hormone and these are having a profound affect of women's bodies.

We are seeing young girls mature earlier, breast bud sooner, and menstruate sooner. We are seeing an epidemic of overweight children & teens who have high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure. The scariest thing is Breast Cancer is showing up in younger and younger women, 28 & 30 yrs old.

So give it a try, I did and many others did too and had good results and weight loss too!! Now that's always welcome especially with summer coming, huh?

Hi, just read the 'Leukorrhea remedies' on your site, it started three weeks ago since i've been experiencing increase vaginal discharge. I begun searching the internet what are the causes, and its treatment. It says its causes are pregnancy, pre-menarch, and infection. I'm 21 year old - i'm done with my menarch, I have PCOS so I can't be pregnant, and im not sexually active to have a ST infection..

And because i'm skinny and wanted to gain weight I started including increase amout of beef, chicken, pork, dairy products, and anything that has an increase proteins and some cholesterol and/or fats in my diet for about three months now. Then I too, started to have an irregular bowel movement. And started to have an increase vaginal discharge.

--wondering why its happening on me.

I've had this since I started my period many years ago. It stopped once I was pregnant, but after my pregnancy it started again... I eat a very healthy diet and I stopped drinking milk years ago. Any remedies would be awesome or advice.

I have heard great things about Crajiru (Arrabidea chica) extract for these types of problems. I was told by a friend that the amazonian natives use it to douche when they have a discharge problem. It is known to be a powerful anti-bacterial.

If you look up "Crajiru" extract you will see a few people selling it online.

Can now confirm for a fact that Arrabidea chica works in one shot!

I told a friend about it and she has been suffering for years on end. For the first time in 2 years she has had no symptoms and feels great.

Dose: add 20 drops of extract in 1L of water, put in fridge to cool down and douche with the solution. Once in the morning, once at night, repeat for 3 days.

I has this challenge for years... my answer... I stopped consuming any products with cow dairy. I couldn't believe it! The very next day - totally gone!

Interestingly, I can have goat dairy products, and there's no problem at all.

After years of having this challenge, seeing multiple doctors, changing my oral contraceptives, having procedures done, and many pantiliners, for me, it was just cow dairy.

The exact same thing happened to me. Its been going on for over a year now and it come out of nowhere! But by eliminating bad food, fried, meat and tea, I've seen a differen. But its still there. I don't know what else to do to reduce it further. I literally can't stand it. I've been to the doctors but they cant find anything wrong. Does anyone else know other suggestions that could help??
