Have balanitis of the penis glans

Posted By Dan18 (Uk) on 08/28/2011

Quite an embarrasing subject but I am desperate for a natural remedy. I have balanitis of the penis glans its really inflammed and very dry skin. I have seen a urologist and he has given me an emollient which contains sodium lauryl sulphate, yellow soft paraffin, liquid paraffin and cetostearyl alcohol and also given me a steroid cream/gel to apply to the glans. They sometimes cause a burning sensation when I use them it can be quite unbearable, it just doesnt feel right to put them on. Does anyone know how to get rid of balanitis naturally?

Salt Bath:
Put salt in your water intended for bathing

Antifungal Cream:
An OTC cream, apply topically

Calendula:
In tea form, consume at least 3 cups a day

Tea Tree Oil:
Apply/rub in affected area

Virgin Coconut oil:
Apply/rub in affected area can be also taken internally.

Garlic:
In paste form, apply directly on the affected parts.

If you use the topical mouthwash that dentist suggest. Then dangle the penis in a cup of it for five mins. Twice a day. Remove and dont dry! .. It will clear up in a few days.

I found a remedy that will help almost anyone suffering from Balanitis, and it worked for me. Buy a soap with lavender oil (I buy Dr. B_____'s liquid soap) and wash the infected area. Then apply the following mixture to the area: Thyme linalol essential oil (3 drops) per 2 teaspoons of Jojoba oil mixed in a bottle. The oils can be found online or at any well supplied grocer/herbalist. Keep washing and applying the oils. For a mild case this usually takes a day or two. I hope this helps.
