Hi Barb, I'm sorry to hear of your having to deal with this with no relief. I am going to tell you what my mom would make me when I had this problem growing up. She never gave it a name but it is called Jook or Congee in the Chinese culture. It's a rice soup and very comforting. It would always calm my stomach and then the diarrhea would cease. I still love jook but usually only get it in Chinatown when we go for our dim sum. I am going to give you a link for a recipe since my mom would just "put it together". This will make it easier for you to know the amounts of the ingredients.

Here's another recipe with photos and you can also see the variations that are in these recipes as they are usually "family recipes" passed down:

Hope this helps! Take care, Lisa

Hi Barb, Should be some infection. To stop the diarrhea:
Take 1 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of cold water morning and evening. May be couple of days or till the diarrhea stops. (would take 1 to 3 days).
And to strengthen the stomach and intestines take Home Made Milk Kefir 2 cups a day or at least 1 cup a day. Even if you can't make Milk Kefir, buy some milk kefir some store.
If you are in any type of antacid , it is time to stop it and take the natural way.
Good Health, thanks
