I have tried taking EPO, FLAXSEED OIL, SAW PALMETTO, FISH OIL, BCOMPLEX, B12, FOOD GRADE VITAMINS, BIOSIL, IRON GLY, LYSINE, HAIR VITAMINS, AND I am still losing a excessive amount of hair every time I wash.
I am now doing a comb over and using topix bec it is sooo thin. I read that copper is good for the scalp so ordered tricomin . I am soooo desperate hence this is so embarrassing. The crown area is very very thin but I have all over thinning. I did test low normal ferritin at 52 so that is why I am taking iron. my thyroid test are normal and take synthroid. I don't have a lot of hair anywhere on my body. Just bought some ACV and wondered if I should take that or hci with betaine......with meals. I have tried the hci but it hasn't helped with the bloating much but I am a little more regular if you know what I mean. At this point..I am so overwhelmed....and I don't like to go out alot anymore..

I HAVE SPEND HOURS READING EVERY POST BUT so many things are mentioned and the only symptoms I have had is slight itchiness from time to time but nothing regular or even drastic, used to have a hot scalp sensation after washing hair which was so weird so I use only shea butter castor oil shampoo and conditioner that has Apple Cider Vinegar in it. I added sweet n low to my hair dye which makes it not sensitive to the scalp bec of the lower ph that counters the chemical in hair dye hence this is a trick I just learned hence it has been months since I had colored my grey roots and that does work.

Hi Jc, I am close to your age and have had the same issue in the past with hair loss and it can be worrisome.
For several years I ate a few tablespoons of ground up chia seed every morning and I remember noticing that my hair stopped falling out. Then my body must've gotten used to that because the hair loss returned.
I began using a liquid alfalfa probiotic and that has put a stop to the hair loss. I barely lose any at all now, even in the shower and my hair is nice and thick again, as it was when I was young. I hope this helps you. The bottle is a little pricey but I only use about ten drops in the morning and afternoon so it lasts a very long time. They have another probiotic I use that has put an end to my menopause complaints called flora pm. It took a few weeks of use to notice an improvement. You'll have to trust me on this, as I cannot go into detail on a public forum such as this. Drink plenty of water throughout the day with these probiotics and they will work even better!
Your betaine hcl may help you absorb more nutrients. As they say, it is not what you eat that matters, but what you absorb. Digestive bitters work wonders for better digestion.
You may want to consider using your iron as a tonic, take it for only a short time, then don't take it any more for a long while. At our age iron reserves can get too high, as you probably already know. Copper should be used cautiously, too. Maybe take it only once or twice a week for a few months to build up your reserves. Minerals can get out of balance when you take them one at a time.
