It's been a year and half of dysuria and I recently went back to get a proper HVS ( M. c.S) and it yielded only a mixed growth of group B streptococcus. Zinnat and Rocephin were recommended but the issue is the doctor said I needed a significant amount of those two, and that'll cost way out of my budget. I was wondering if there was an alternative that would be twice as effective. Thanks....

Faith S, Some natural treatments for GBS are grapefruit seed extract (GSE), highly potent probiotics or synbiotics and garlic in many forms. GSE is available as a concentrated liquid and in capsules. GSE also has biofilm busting activities as does the potent antioxidant, NAC, which also has shown anti GBS effects in animals.
I am curious, do you have some other chronic disease such as diabetes? Some people are carriers of GBS and it can exist without problem for them, but clearly it is causing you a problem.

I've always recommended Colloidal Silver 10ppm for UTI's. It saved me when I had prostatitis in less than week. Dosage is 1oz CS in 2oz clean water. Take 3 times daily. Normally cured by the 3rd day. Good luck.Replied by Wendy (Dublin OH) on 12/06/2022
Oregano Oil also pierces the biofilm of certain bugs not cured by standard antibiotics. See my post concerning my recurring UTIs. Specifically, in this case, I had the klebsiella pneumoniae bug (https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/chronic-bladder-infection-remedies.html#oreganooil).
@Art, I'm wondering if oregano oil would also be effective for GBS.
