57 yr old female. does anyone know where i can get more info on effects of chemo i took 20 years ago for breast cancer (methotrexate and 5fu) on cardiac arrhythmia and what i can do to help myself? i posted a few days ago regarding the fact that i felt faint and had palpitations after i began exercising more (walking) 2 mos ago. i had one 26 beat run of ventribular tachycardia at 128 bpm found on 48 hrs holter monitor, but mostly supra tachycardia (3 runs, longest at 22 beats at 172 bpm). i have added molasses, magnesium, apple cider vinegar, and excluded yogurt per info gained here. i feel better, tho am also taking 25 mg of toprol daily. have also gone in for sleep apnea test, as i was told years ago i had mild apnea. cardiac mri showed no structural damage and i passed echo stress test. cardiologist said if my heart weren't so strong, my situation would be a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being most dangerous; i'm at 6 because of strong heart. still scary.

For years now I have had a racing heart. Atrial fib with a high heart rate and tried everything to cure myself. I was reading an article from a health web site that I subscribe to about dirty electricity. Electricity in the air all around us. Things such a a home wireless telephone, a tv set,a wireless cell phone. Wireless computers with wireless keyboards and wireless mouse. Then it hit me, with all this electricity in the air some of us are more sensitive to it than others. I am thinking that may be the source of my problem. My problem started about the time I got into computers and cell phones. I am on the computer many hours a day, and am constantly being exposed to this dirty electricity. Atrial fib is epidemic today and there has to be a reason for it and this may be it. Disconnect the wireless home phone, put in old fashioned land lines. Keep your cell away from you using it only when necessary and back off the computer, and get your face away from the idiot box know as a TV especially if it is satellite. Try these things and see if it helps. I think it is starting to help me but time will tell, and I think thirty days will be a minimum time to find out if it is the source of the problems. Those that have tinitis (which I have)may also be at risk and it is a proven fact that sugar goes up when exposed to this electricity. It has been called diabetes type 3.

I was just looking in my Back to Eden herb book for something and happened to come across Valerian. It states that it is "an excellent nerve tonic - very quieting and soothing." and it "relieves palpitations of the heart." Thought I would pass that on.
