Depression and anxiety a bit of ocd and brain fog

Posted By Averysbro (Southern Maine) on 12/02/2013

Hi there, I have heard so many great things about ACV and VCO, etc. I just want to feel better. I suffer from depression and anxiety a bit of OCD and the nasty brain fog. I don't do the things I love anymore and I just want to get back to me. Conventional meds/docs just haven't got it. My DH also has chronic pain insomnia/apnea Thyroid issues arthritis just to name a few.

WE really want to be healthy and DH needs to lose weight and quit smoking. Can I please get some kind of info or suggestions on how to start and the dosages ect. I'd be VERY grateful. Thanks.

Hi Averysbro...Whenever someone posts problems about apparently unrelated Multiple Ailments or a Mystery Illness that the doctors are completely unable to diagnose -- this immediately makes me think of Candida/bacterial problems.

To confirm whether you have candida, you should take William Crook's Candida Questionnaire shown at this link:

Candida Questionnaire

Dr OC Truss wrote the first breakthrough book on candida problems in the 1980s called 'The Missing Diagnosis'. Here is what Dr Orian Truss, a candida specialst, believes are the most common symptoms of candida:

“The most common manifestations [of candida], in addition to anxiety and inappropriate depression, may include: bloating, diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, vaginitis (aggravated by antibiotics and birth control pills), urethritis, cystitis and other skin problems (acne, hives, diaper rash, oral thrush, athlete’s foot, jock itch, nail infections), chronic fatigue, chemical intolerance to food and inhaled chemicals, headaches (migraine and sinus), nasal, sinus, and bronchial allergies, menstrual disorders, decreased libido and impotence, premenstrual tension, and impairment of short term memory and concentration as well."

Dr Orian Truss

From more recent research, Dr William Shaw has also discovered that fungal toxins -- called mycotoxins -- can also directly be the cause mental as well as physical problems. Some of these mental problems seemingly caused by fungal toxins are: Autism, OCD, SLE, Altzheimer's Disease, Bipolar Problems, Dementia, ADHD etc. To see the full list of mental and other diseases caused by waste toxins from candida/bacterial infections see this link.

Candida and Yeast Overgrowth.

So if you can get rid of your fungal and bacterial infections from your body then the majority of your problems -- including mental problems, brain fog, lethargy and insomnia -- will most likely also be resolved.

There is a useful antifungal/antibacterial protocol shown on EC at this link.

Averysbro: Make home made water kefir. Watch how to make water kefir in 2 minutes or less video and get the grains online. Make green smoothies from organic baby leaves and parsely in a blender. Drink only artesian or spring water. Eat raw organic fruits, berries are best, activated barley, and raw honey for carbs. Take 1tsp. flax oil, 1tsp. coconut oil, and 1ml skate liver oil, 3x per day for fats. Take the superfoods nondenatured whey isolate, colostrum, hawaiin spirulina, chlorella, nondefatted dessicated liver, and raw cocoa powder for protein. Take kimchi, non gmo red miso, and the best thai fish sauce for ferments. Watch raw food and superfood videos for good info.

Hello,

I would list DH's problems separate from yours to keep things neat and tidy (being your OCD. lol) Have you gone to the remedies section and start listing all the things people do for different ailments? That can be helpful. I think as you read your intuition may direct you since it is already smart and telling you not to use conventional psych meds. Yay, you! I have depression on and off. I can feel when my synapsis is off and I am depressed. I was on psych meds for years and felt horrible all the time. I weaned myself off med via TrueHope method but I did not keep up with the supplements. I lost my job and this sent me into a depression. I started on the supplements again and also worked with a holistic psychiatrist. I took additional amino acids, Omega 3, Vit D (6000 mg-- my levels were lower than the lowest accepted). I also found taking add on's of 5HTP and Gaba worked well for ME. I was taking about 40 vits a day when I was really low. I would suggest to go through the book Nutrition Power by Welsh. It is highly technical but it points out the different kinds of depression there are. Some people are sensitive to copper, some need zinc, some make too much histimine. That is why some things do not work for some people and work for others. I would not suggest getting the book on on a kindle as it is more difficult to read that way. Another book I found helpful was the Mood Cure but Nutrition Power, despite being technical, really helped me an awful lot. Also meditation helped me a lot. It helps me raise my vibration (if that makes sense) and not have my mood bounce around so much. I know I should exercise more but I do not. Let me know how you're progressing and best wishes to you. ~jillery

Averysbro, the very easiest way to start your way to better health is to add a fresh salad to one of your daily meals, and to start a daily walk together. We started with walking only 1/2 block!!
