Family History of Crohn's But Perhaps Symptoms Are Candida Overgrowth?

Posted By John (La) on 01/12/2018

Hello, My name is John I am a white male 56 years old from New Orleans, La. I have been having some sort of problems with my stomach since my early 20's. My dad had crohns, as does my brother and sister. My Grandmother also had crohns as does one of my nephews. So naturally when I had any digestive problems and had a colonoscopy or upper endoscopy performed they always said I had what appeared to be the beginning stage of colitis or crohn's, because of inflammation etc..

My symptoms ranged from severe cramps, bloating, constipation, then diarrhea. it was a vicious cycle . Sometimes I would tolerate it, others were horrible. I went to numerous gastrologists over the years with the same old reply from Dr's. Numerous meds with no real relief. Anyway, I was hospitalized in 2013, saw numerous Dr.s while there, they were determined I had crohn's and wanted to cut my colon out and put a colostomy on me. I was determined that I did not have Crohn's. I have taken numerous probiotics with some relief for a short period, then the bloating reappears etc. After reading about Candida overgrowth I am thinking that is what I have been suffering from.

My symptoms are as follows :

1. Skin rashes come and go, especially in the crotch area and buttocks area.

a. dermatologists cannot figure it out.

2. cannot sleep well at all, been a very bad sleeper for 30 plus years

3. Constant ear infections, drainage etc.

4. Migraines, blurry vision at times

5. constipation for days, then diarrhea follows

6. joint pain, mostly in knees

7. very stiff neck and tension in back of head.

a. see a chiropractor since May 2016, headaches are better.

8. Sinus, drip, causes me to clear my throat constantly when getting ready to speak

9. Bad indigestion and heartburn at times, sometimes last for days.

Any advice?

Sorry to hear of your issues, I am not a pro at natural healing, but I remember simular symptoms and found the best solution was NO Gluten, No breads, eat plain rice cakes instead.. A.C.V. daily spoon will stop all stomach issues..Also peppermint capsules will stop bowel problems.

Hope this helps.
