Can DMSO Help Severe Arthritis and Diverticular Disease?

Posted By Danny (Ireland) on 08/28/2021

Severe Arthritis, Diverticular Disease, Hematomachrosis, High Blood Pressure

I'm a fifty Yr old man with severe ankylosing spondylitis. Last year I had open bowel surgery. I have to live with pain 24 hrs a day along with the problem of the diverticular disease, etc.

Can DMSO help with ankylosing or any of the other issues I'm dealing with? Hoping to hear back some positive news.

Hi there,

I don't have experience with diverticulitis, I only know that you have to restrict fiber and anything that inflames the intestines.

Bone broth and collagen are good for the gut and joints.

DMSO is good used on sore joints, but I do not know that it will help if used internally. (not recommended)

I have iron overload, not classic hemochromatosis, but I believe it's genetic because of family history.

What has helped me the most with the arthritis and iron regulation is Copper Glycinate. It's inexpensive and is a great anti-inflammatory. ( It keeps my transferrin saturation in check.)

Copper is also antimicrobial, which may help with ankylosing spondylitis if it has an infectious cause.

Copper glycinate is also good for collagen formation.

Another mineral that helps is calcium. Of course, not too much, but if you don't get enough, then phosphorus accumulates, binds with calcium, and forms calcium pyrophosphate. It is the compound that collects in joints, causing inflammation and pain.

I take a calcium chelate in small amounts throughout the day. It's best to figure out one's own personal needs. ( not too much )

The B vitamins are needed to regulate iron as well. Active vitamin A is also needed to regulate iron.

The calcium chelate lowered my BP, but it may not work for everyone, only if calcium intake is low.

Excess phosphorus can be a source of inflammation. It's added to foods, meds., etc.

Hope this info. helps lower your pain.

Danny,

Earth Clinic has just begun selling a cream that is made with Gallium Maltolate as its active component that is reported to be useful for arthritis among many other pain issues. The product is called Gallixa. Here is a link to the article on EC :

https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/gallixa-skin-cream.html

I had been wanting to test Gallium since around 2005 when George Eby wrote an article about its usefulness in the treatment of arthritis, but I had never been able to find a ready to use product until EC recently started selling it. I and a friend have only begun testing it as of yesterday (8/27/2021) so I won't know more about its effects for a bit more time.

EC sold out of the products within 2 hours of offering them for sale, but should be restocked soon which will allow you time to do a little research on your own.

Here is a link to what George Eby had to say about Gallium for arthritis back in 2005:

Good luck!
