Bv problems and black tongue note

Help!! I remarried 2 years ago - never had BV prior to sex with my husband. My gyn told me what it was and said our PH's do not mix well. Gave me metrogel and said after sex to insert a tampon for a minute or 2 to absorb. It seemed to help but sometimes I'd be lazy or forget tampons if we went out of town. It has come back more times than I can count. The peroxide douche (pure peroxide) is a good quick fix but it'll come right back. Acidophilus capsules inserted works great for me but my husband says it feels sandy or grainy sometimes. I'm now taking 2 folic acids and so far so good (2 weeks or so). However I have a brand new disgusting problem - Black Tongue. I read all I could find about it. Its sort of like BV - an unbalanced bacteria. I truly have excellent oral hygene and don't take a lot of Pepto Bismol. I do drink coffee and tea but those are the only causes that apply to me. Has anyone else experienced this? I can't help wonder if all the effort to balance my vag has contributed to this awful tongue. I scraped my tongue and rinsed with peroxide before bed and its nearly gone today. I'd just like to know what caused it so I can be sure to not do it again!!

I had BV and it was pretty clear to me it was because of pH or chemistry. The doctors are treating you, but they should be treating him. Does he drink beer or could he have candida? His chemistry is making you sick - hopefully he will care enough to work on his contribution to the problem and everything will be much better. In stubborn cases it is a good idea to treat both partners with medication, but my experience showed me it was his habits that caused the recurring problem.
