Brother has severe recurring sinus infection

Posted By Nomonde (South Africa, Eastern Cape) on 04/17/2014

Hallo

My brother is having sinus ever since the age of six nothing seems to help. No clear diagnosis given by doctors except that he might be allegic to dust. The symptoms are: before he would do sounds like trying to clear something from the nose passages, at night it's even worse. He snores, rubbing the sides of the nose on either sides, shaking the head, trying to pull the mucus. All this will last for 5 minutes or more. He will sleep for maybe 30 mins and start this again. This is his everyday life, now he is 22 years. Please help me to help my brother. Thank you in advance. Nomonde nqoto

Dear Nomonde,

Your brother is blessed to have you watching out for him. 16 years is a long time to deal with this problem!

There are a number of things he can try, all of them could be done safely together.

Avoid dairy for a time. Dairy is mucous forming. After the issue is resolved, he can try it again and see how he does. I had a son that had a chronic throat clearing problem that was resolved when he gave up dairy. Interestingly, after 6 months or so of no dairy, he was able to have it again with no problem.

Lots of vitamin C. He can take a gram of it a few times a day. If it gives him diarrhea, he can cut back a bit. This would be good for lingering infection and is a natural anti-histamine, if indeed it is caused by allergies.

He should try Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 Tablespoon, in water once or twice a day.

Increasing his water intake may help to thin the mucous. Increasing fruits may also be helpful.

He can put a dropperful of colloidal silver into each nostril and each ear a few times a day to try and kill off any lingering infection.

Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory. A teaspoon once or twice a day may also be helpful.

Please let us know how he is doing. If none of this works, there are always more things to try, though I am hopeful that these things may be enough to help.

Hello Nomonde:

I concur with what "Mama to Many" says and re emphasize her suggestion for using Colloidal Silver she mentioned. I'm betting it's a viral infection...chronic. In fact, surprised it hasn't migrated (assuming infection) to other organs because he's had it so long. Long lasting viruses/fungal infections do that. The way you described it...could very well be fungal. Great irritation like he is trying to attack it is how you described it. Very itchy...yes maybe fungal. So also check around his room...is there anything that could be a mold source? But you or the other members of the family aren't similarly infected; which mold would do...so probably not mold. That doesn't mean his infection is not fungal, however.

When I take Colloidal Silver, I sniff vigorously into both nostrils (one at a time! )...and if it's an infection, there will be a sharp "burning"...especially on the more infected side. IF it does burn and then drain after another two or three applications....and then if I am better able to breathe, then I know I'm infected. I know to repeat until the infection is gone. Sometimes, a stubborn infection I'll fight for two months. (MEAN ones.) But I don't give up and it stays localized in the sinus cavity. I also squirt my ear canals with an ear syringe of the CS to kill any of the virus/fungus in the canals or labyrinth...AND both the sinus irrigation and the ear irrigation gets the CS to all of the Eustachian Tubes also. Infections LOVE to hide out in the ETs.

If I determine I have a sinus infection...not merely allergy...I also DRINK the CS for a month to kill it in my system.

I use a high PPM CS...I make my own. (A test: If the CS you have won't knock out a sore throat when I gargle with it... it ain't worth a dime.)

Now last point: Even if he is allergic to some combo of foods, he could still be infected. The allergy would act to close up sinus cavity with inflammation and that lack of good circulation could produce virus/fungus growth.

Last point: When a long lasting infection is treated with CS...it will REALLY sting...all the way to what feels like behind the eye! So I am always prepared for a "hit" if there's an infection in me. Hold on when the CS goes into sinus cavity. But when I re apply...a few minutes later for second round...almost NO stinging. Good quality CS works fast.

Dear Nomonde, My brother has obstuctive sleep apnea and snores like crazy. He has always had severe sinus infections and would always be sneezing and spitting out mucus. He did this for years until he discovered "Oregano Oil". He put some into his nostils and is now sinus infection free!

Hope this helps your brother.

Blessings, Mary
