I had a friend that always used lemon barley water when she had a UTI, she said it was very helpful. I hear cranberry juice is very good too.Replied by Rsw (Uniontown, Oh) on 05/20/2015
Hi Loleese,
If you look at the "Ailments" tab at the top of the page, then choose C-Diff from the drop down menu, you will see some posts on the use of barley water to cure C-Diff. The barley water is seen on the right hand side of the C-Diff page. You can choose it to read the posts. Best wishes!

To Loleese (Denver, Co) ===
I have had always many rescue cats as well as some big dogs. I still have seven cats and one big, one small dog. All rescues. I have posted here on EC on barley water for people and dogs.
To this day I use barley cooked in the slow cooker with as much water as possible. I add mung beans and it becomes then a nutritious quality protein meal. I add grain free kibbles but with prices shooting up and poisoned and horrible commercial pet food, barley, slow cooked and the water with minced raw veggies.
They gobble it up. For cats, here on EC, ACV is thought to be useful for cat UT given hourly slightly diluted. It has worked in a few cases.
I hope this helps. Namaste, Om

Thank you All for your help! I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Unfortunately, my cat, "Fish" had to have surgery to remove a blockage from his urethra. I plan to switch his food up to help him, and will include barley.
