Any suggestions for arthritis in back and neck

Posted By John1974 (N. Ireland) on 03/04/2015

My doctors says I have arthritis in my back and neck which can be quite sore; is there anything you can recommend? I also have muscular aches on my lower back, a few years ago I coughed and pulled a muscle in my lower back. Hope to hear from you.

Dear John1974,

There are so many different things that people have used and found relief from pain in the back and neck. I will share a few that have helped me.

Turmeric - I take 4 caspules every couple of hours sometimes as a natural pain reliever. Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory. Take it with a glass of water or herbal tea. Some mix it into milk. I have read that it can be constipating, but my family has never experienced that side effect.

Castor Oil - Massaged into the pained areas. Adding adding a drop or two of peppermint essential oils to the castor oil helps, too. Sometimes I add a little bit of DMSO to that and find it helpful.

I find that sugar intake increases pain at times.

Staying hydrated is helpful.

Some of the alkalizing drinks and formulas on this website have helped lots of people with different things. One time recently, I found that 2 Tablespoons of lime juice, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 16 ounces of water, helped a pain I had in my neck that I woke up with.

Alkalizing Formulas

Just a few thoughts and things you can try. Let us know what you try and what does or does not work.

The borax remedy worked very well for me. Other methods I tried were effective also, but I look at those as more of "treating symptoms" because when I stopped using them, the symptoms returned, whereas I look at borax as more of a cure, or at least it was for me. Everyone is different and you should check with your doctor to see if he will approve it for you or not.

John from Ireland, Try taking 1000 IU of wild Alaskan salmon oil with, 375mg EPA and 250mg DHA. Take as recommended on the bottle, before ea. meal to avoid fishy after taste. For myself it does the trick without any other pain meds. In one week you will see the results. Before I knew about fish oil, I used sour cherry juice, it is recommended for gout, but helped me for the arthritis. Three small juice glasses a day.Hope this helps you, as it has me. Best Regards, Ali

Hi John1974...Arthritis is generally thought to be caused by mycobacteria which will act to create calcium and calcify tendons at the joints causing the arthritis. Other bacteria can also be associated or involved as well.

If you have soft tissue pain as well, then this is an indication that your calcium/magnesium balance is poor. When there is excess calcium in the cells then this tends to cause mitochondrial calcification which causes the tissue pain.

To cure all your problems, you will have to take daily amounts of boron in the form of borax to kill the mycobacteria. Supplementing magnesium in the form of magnesium oil(70% magnesium chloride, 30% water) will also help to kill any other bacteria involved at the arthritic sites. You will also need to alkalize your your body using either Ted's lemon/lime and baking soda or ACV eith Baking soda remedies twice a day outside mealtimes.

As to the cause of your problem -- this is essentially due to a long term poor diet -- too much acidity, too much calcium and not enough magnesium in the diet to regulate the calcium. Avoid fatty foods, sugar, wheat and reduce your carbohydrate intake. Reduce dairy(reduce calcium intake). No junk foods.

Supplement the following as advised:

Borax or Sodium Tetraborate
Use 20 Mule Team Borax(unscented) that you can buy in the washing isle of any US supermarket. Borax kills the mycobacteria involved in arthritis. The dose is 1/4 teaspoon in a liter of water. Drink this borax water slowly throughout the day and use it every other day -- take it continuously 3 or 4 times a week.

Magnesium Chloride
You can buy Ancient Minerals brand easily off their website or you can get it from ebay or amazon.com. You can also buy the magnesium oil from them or you can by the magnesium flakes and make up your own magnesium oil(70% magnesium chloride, 30% water). Apply the magnesium oil every day over the arthritic sites and rheumatic soft tissue sites causing you pain. A daily massage using lag oil, is also a good idea. Or, additionally, you can also add a 1 cup of magnesium chloride flakes together 1 cup baking soda(sodium bicarbonate) and 1/2 cup of borax to your bath water once or twice a week(stay in the bath for at least 20 mins to allow proper absorption of the minerals into your body). Absorbtion of these nutrients in this manner will also help to get rid of your problem and reduce the pain. So there are 3 basic ways you can use the magnesium oil:

1. Supplement 10 drops of the oil at every meal.

2. Rub the magnesium oil topically on your skin over your backbone and neck regions for direct absorption into these regions for best effect.

3. As a massage oil or use it in the bath(as advised) for all efficient round absorption of magnesium into the body.

Magnesium chloride is perhaps the best form of magnesium to take -- not least because you can take it in several ways for health. You can take 10 drops of magnesium oil in water with your meals or you can use it transdermally in your bath or as a massage oil because it is so efficiently absorbed from the skin directly into the blood. And whereas if you take excessive amounts of magnesium supplements orally this might cause a loosening of the stool or diarrhea, taking magnesium chloride transdermally has no such problems because you avoid the intestines completely -- so you can take larger amounts.

Alkalizing
Use Ted's lemon and lime + baking soda + water remedy or the ACV + baking soda + water remedy. Use these remedies at least twice a day outside mealtimes. See below. Uae Arm & Hammer brand baking soda.

Hello John, To answer your question about where to buy the fish oil, I like to buy mine at a Big box store. They are only in Canada and the U.S. We are not to promote, but it starts with a C and ends with co. Sorry that won't help you in Ireland but don't worry about that. Go to any health food store and ask for wild fish oil gel caps (not from farmed fish) if the amount of EPA and DHA are less than my original post suggested, just take an extra capsule. If you are on blood thinners of any kind please check with your Dr. before starting on fish oil, as it also tends to thin the blood somewhat. The tart or sour cherry juice can be found in regular supermarkets, if not, just buy pitted frozen sour cherries and put in the blender with a dash of filtered water. No need to be real precise about it all, both are natural and inexpensive. I don't buy on line so can't advise on that. Sincerely hope it will work for you. Ali

Hi everyone. It's been roughly a month that I started changing my diet and lifestyle. so as you will be able to tell im pretty new to all this.I take vit b complex 2 day. I also take cayenne pepper every morning in hot water 1/4 of t/spoon of the cayenne. I mix pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, flex seeds, sesame seeds throughout my diet everyday

I eat chicken or fish with either salad or veg for my dinner. Breakfast is oats and strawberries and a chopped banana. or boiled eggs and toast. or peanut butter and brown bread toasted. This is pretty good for me. I have also stopped alcohol 6 weeks. I drink 6 pints of distilled water a day.

If anyone could add to my list of things as I'm only starting out it would be great. Thanks.

J: Thanks for reporting your health program.

As for the distilled water, it is advised to add a few drops of Ionic Trace Minerals to each glass.

In my opinion, alcohol is one of our greatest adaptogens, but w/ the overconsumption and alcoholism has created a bad image. One wine or beer right after returning from work or before dinner keeps one in the game and insures restful sleep.

Much of the trace minerals on the market today are mined from Utah's Great Salt Lake and the heavy or toxic metals have been filtered mostly out.

As for your morning drink, lots of folks add a few drops of Lemon Juice or ACV to whichever drink to increase digestion. Local Organic Honey will also mix well w/ the morning drink. Ginger works w/ the Cayenne for best chi results.

If you are not eating any red meats, you will need to take Raw Liver tablets or Blackstrap Molasses regularly. Other superfoods like Bee Pollen, Propolis, and Royal Jelly takes any diet program to the highest level as they are very nutrition dense.

Kelp tablets for a natural source of Iodine is important for the Thyroid which is important for the whole body.

Hi Timh. I been taking 2 tbls of Apple Cider Vinegar and a tsp of organic honey in the morning with a few slices of lemon and hot water I actually like it. I have also sent away for liver tablets and kelp. I appreciate the info thank you.

Timh you recommended raw liver tabs. Would vit b12 complex be ok or would I still need liver tablets? thanks

J: Many people are deficient in b vits and therefore need supplementation. Eating superfoods like Raw Liver, Bee products like Honey, Pollen, and Propolis, Black Strap Molasses, Brewers Yeast (best natural source of b-vits), along with a good organic diet, and juicing can prevent deficiencies in time.

Next time you go to the Dr have him/her check your B-12, to be safe.
